Replacing a computer doesn't count as buying a new computer

I had a materialistic sim with a want to buy a new computer. Coincidentally, the computer on his lot was broken. Using the Replace Computer interaction on the broken computer did not satisfy the want. Going into Build/Buy and selling that computer and buying another did satisfy the want. Replace Computer implies that you bought a new computer to replace the broken one, and should count as buying a new computer.
