I've noticed this as well before my recent break from the game. In my case, the active Sim is a single male and his current romantic preference is women only. What makes this even stranger that these were normal frogs (i.e. Sunsurfer Frog) that occasionally turned into a Noble Sim when kissed by the male Sim.
I play on a PC (Windows 10) via Steam and use both mods and CC.
