I had a simple scandal about an unfair affair. It came out of nowhere. Said it was supposed to last 9 sim days. Every time I traveled to a different lot, the time on the moodlet would increase by days at a time. What started as a 9 day scandal has become a 18 day problem that will not go away. I have apologized, held press conferences, even stayed on one lot for 9 sim days. Nothing has worked. When I pushed the timer to 0, the moodlet just stayed there even though I had a second moodlet telling me the scandal had expired.
I have tried MULTIPLE fixes listed in other threads:
Remove trait cheat: traits.remove_trait trait_SecretScandal_VFX and traits.remove_trait trait_Secret_Scandal_VFX as well just to be sure. Did not work.
I tried activating another scandal. Just to have two scandals active at once. Did not Work.
I tried turning off the scandals from the game options. Did not work.
I tried turning off the scandal cloud for both people affected. Did not work.
I tried using the moodlet solver after getting the scandal to 0. Did not work.
How is one of the main features of this pack completely broken in such a bad way?
I'm having the same problem.
My Sims got frisky in public, and they received a phone call for blackmail, and she said "do your worst", because who cares 🤷♀️
Now she and her partner have been having embarrassing moodlet way too many days, and the duration of the scandal went from 4 days to 17 days, then to 2 days, then to 18 days, and it keeps doing that, it's been over a simweek now, and it keeps doing that, and this is a minor scandal. I just played, she went to work, and moodlet had three arrows going down, the number of days went from 17 to 2, and the moment she came home, it went up to 18 days. How do I get rid of this?
I am experiencing the same- on pc, no mods/cc, all eps, sps, gps, some kits.
Having the same issue! It gets to 0 and then back to 5
I'm having the same problem. The moodlet now says 36 days (but it changes frequently). The icon above her head says 1,115 days!
No mods, all straight game and packs, nothing special. Vanilla isn't a bad flavor.
Started at 9 days, went up to 31. Save, quit, reopen, start playing, it's back at 9. Save, quit, reopen, played now for a sim week and the number just doesn't go down for me. I've had my sim apologize at least 10 times at this point. I used romantic dissolver potions. I have tried everything I possibly could like others here. I just can't get the scandal to be less than 9 days and my sim has been perpetually embarrassed.
same problem with my sim, its now increased to 564 days!! :( nothing will work even though she has the scandal expiry moodlet from when I turned the feature off. im going to try to get the days down, but everyone has said it still wont go away.
