Dynasty glitch: sims walking away from player directed actions to read books with Scholarly Ideal activated

I been Playing the Darong Family for a week now, with the constant book interruptions,(been having to baby them constantly) but what is most annoying about this, I'm trying to get Obi Playful for the Rambunctious asp by making him take a bubble bath so that I can after take him to the Park, But he can not get Playful as his bath stops so he can read, same goes for his sister when trying to shower to gain Inspiration for 2 paintings, And I was hoping there would be a playful potion but there isn't lol, also the whim to listen to alternative music won't work, but other forms of music will, Plus teh Creative kids asp to play with 3 toys has become so much more difficult than it was years ago... so many toys in the toy box just don't work, only one toy in that whole box will only cover 1/3
The toy thing has been going on for quite a long time and doesn't have anything to do with the royalty pack. What I do with the toy thing is I have them play with a toy in the toy chest and then have them go play with the dollhouse and then just queue up back and forth interactions between the toy box and the dollhouse and that will eventually lead to them playing with toys three times. You might have to have them go back and forth like 12 times before you can get three interactions. But what about this game isn't deeply broken at this point? You can also use the cheat to complete the current milestone if you don't want to go back and forth a million times.
