[RL] Sims Obsessively View Royal Frog, Interrupting All Tasks
Issue Description:
When "The Royal Frog" object is placed on a residential lot, Sims become obsessively fixated on viewing it. They will repeatedly cancel their current tasks to walk across the lot and "View" the frog. This autonomous behavior occurs at a disproportionately high frequency, making it nearly impossible for Sims to complete other activities without constant player intervention.
Expected Behavior:
The Royal Frog should function as a decorative object with low-priority autonomous interaction. Sims might occasionally view it when idle or passing by, similar to how they interact with paintings, sculptures, or other decorative items. The interaction should not override queued actions or essential needs, and the frequency should be balanced so Sims can still complete tasks without disruption.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Place "The Royal Frog" object on any residential lot.
- Have a Sim start any activity (eating a meal, sleeping, working on a skill object, etc.).
- Observe the Sim's behavior over several in-game hours.
- Note how often the Sim interrupts their current task to view the frog.
Actual Result:
- Sims autonomously queue "View" interactions on the Royal Frog repeatedly and obsessively.
- The Sim will cancel current tasks to view the frog.
- The viewing interaction has an excessively high autonomy weight, overriding essential need-fulfillment behaviors.
- Even after viewing the frog, Sims will soon return to view it again, creating a loop of interrupted activities.
Additional Notes:
- This issue is specific to "The Royal Frog" object in the Royalty & Legacy pack.
- The frog's "View" interaction appears to be improperly tuned with an autonomy weight that is far too high, overriding almost all other autonomous behaviors.
- The bug occurs regardless of Sim traits, mood, or current needs—even exhausted or starving Sims will prioritize frog-viewing over survival.
- This is a tuning issue, not a broken animation or missing interaction. The object's autonomous interaction weight needs to be significantly reduced to bring it in line with other decorative items.
Impact:
High. The obsessive viewing behavior severely disrupts normal gameplay. Sims cannot reliably complete tasks, maintain needs, or progress in skills or careers when the Royal Frog is present on the lot. Players who want to use the Royal Frog as a decorative or storytelling element are forced to either:
- Remove the frog entirely, or
- Constantly micromanage Sims to cancel the "View" interaction
The bug renders the object unusable in its current state, which is especially frustrating given that the Royal Frog is likely intended as a significant item within the Royalty & Legacy pack's fairy tale aesthetic.
