Yes. That is another way of protecting your Sims is by not playing. I really wonder if the bug affects ones you have created before the bug happened but aren't using at the moment and just sitting in your library. I have multiple saves. Each save I have a different story going on. Some I will probably delete due to me ruining my own story.
But do I not like being able to see my Vampire as I created him? Yes. Much like everyone, I want a permanent solution.
Yes, of course I've checked everything after the update (my game IS updated). I just wasn't saving. So yes, the bug affects everything - sims created before, sims from the library, new sims etc.
