I also have this issue where vampire and spellcaster features disappear upon entering live mode.
It effects every single vampire and spellcaster if their appearance is edited at all in ANY way past the update that caused it - whether on my own or out of my control (like situation or career outfit swaps). New saves are just busted straight out the gate as a result, since it affects any vampire or spellcaster that you load up after the update that caused it.
Absolutely no solutions I have attempted have worked, besides a mod that just ports those features to non-occult sims - which, obviously, isn't a real solution at all. I'm certainly not adverse to modding my game, but I like to have mod-free vanilla backups of everything just in case - and since I'm 80% of the time an occult player, this is an absolutely INFURIATING bug.
And that's not even getting in to the weeds that console players CERTAINLY can't access this 'workaround'. I'm just lucky to have a PC that can run this game with mods for now.
