There really is no need to be hostile to each other. We are all in the same boat and extremely frustrated.
Those of you who use mods or can use mods, check out TwelfthDoctor's Occult Hybrid Unlock and Stabilizer. It was recently patched and part of the fix deals with the issue we are dealing with. If you don't completely trust it, you can try it out. Start a new save for the purpose of testing it. That way you don't lose or mess up the progress on the saves you worked so hard on for years.
I know this doesn't help those on console and we are all still waiting for a more permanent solution from EA. But that maybtake years for them to do. As they repaired some bugs back in May of 2024 that had been in the game since 2017. The simple fact is they need to hire more programmers and replace the ones who are currently designing the game. It is absolute negligence to put out something that is faulty and causes problems with the game.
Yeah, thanks for that, I checked this mod. It works, but it would require to fix every single sim manually - just as all other mods. For someone like me with 10 years save you can imagine how many hours it would take. I'd better won't play at all.
Yeah. I fully understand that. I also wouldn't want to give up a save that I had been working on for 10 years. I also wouldn't want to have to go back and manually edit every sim in that save that was affected.
