I am also having an issue with this. I am on PC and am not using mods or cheats. This is on a brand new save game.

I do not have lovestruck, but I'm voting for this bug because the REASON I didn't buy it is precisely because of how infamous this issue is. I've heard countless people describe this problem, most of whom probably never logged in to this forum specifically to complain about it. The five hundred-odd votes it does have here are probably just the tip of the iceberg.

This also drives me nuts! I’m about to uninstall because of it. I also have that compatibility is shared across age groups. The should be locked in their own age groups with the exception of young adults, adults and elders. Kids and teen should be locked to their own age groups. It’s weird in my opinion.

I have a related issue, where romantic interactions will cause one sim's romantic satisfaction to go up, and then other's to go down.
I do not use mods, PC player.

This is really annoying. I have to constantly grind to keep romance/satisfaction up, even when my sims are very compatible with one another. I play in rotation though, so it's impossible to maintain and you have to start all over again when entering another household. This was happening before the last patch, but now I have noticed that the romance bar is dropping really fast as well. It can go from a full bar to almost nothing in a sims day or two.
Playing on PC. Never any mods. No CC. All game packs, except some kits.

I’ve also experienced this, I wish there was an option to turn off satisfaction or to freeze and unfreeze the relationship bar.

I also have a terrible problem with most of my sim households with this issue. I've been struggling with it since installing LS last May. Thinking I've got a learning curve for how the system works, I had not upvoted this thread until today.
The worst issues with keeping couples happy are with sims in existing saves that I had not set turn ons and turn offs for. I'm experimenting to see if adding them helps but the biggest issue for me is that I do play rotationally and no matter what I do, any headway made is lost if I rotate away and return a week or so later. I reloaded my large ranch lot to use that household for the new event and both husband and wife had completely empty romance bars. They weren't that way when I left the household. By the next morning one of them had developed a fear of being cheated on. Something should be done so the relationship in played households doesn't deteriorate for rotational players. The constant uphill battle when reloading a lot after rotating back to it in a save gets old really quickly.
I play on PC and have never used mods/cc.

Its so bad, i have to us mc command center to fix it! I shouldn't have to use a mod to fix something that shouldn't be happening in the first place.

Xbox player here so Vanilla game of course and I have the same problem.
My relationships fall WAY too fast, it's hard to keep them up when your sims have work or don't live in the same household with how fast it goes down.
Also I switch through multiple households so I always come back to find all the romance drained from my couples, it gets annoying when I jump back in a household to find their unsatisfied and threatening divorce when last I saw they were in love and happy 🥺
