Bought the lovestruck expansion in the last month and my sims are happily married and within 2 days went to no romance. I tried a new game and I cannot get romance to stay up and regular goes down way too fast now too.

Can it not be so time-limit heavy and be based on actual interactions? (likes vs dislikes etc).
It depletes so quickly that my Sims don't even have time to fulfil their hobbies, skills, and daily job requirements without their relationships dwindling before their very own eyes!!
Having had a full bar at the start of the day and going to bed with a pending divorce asleep right next to them. It's turning into " Love for a Day" instead of " Lovestruck" .

I have an old save where this happens, but it has mods and I think possibly baked in bugs from it's age. I started a test save to work out what issues were related to the old save and if I should abandon it. That save uses a few mods, no cc. It's a rotational save. The test save has no mods or cc. It had this issue at the beginning while the two main sims' romance skill was low. Once it was up, I haven't had too much trouble as long as they interact occasionally. I set their romance like/disklike to favor flirting and affection hoping I wouldn't have to do to much to keep the romance level stable. So far so good. I have not moved on to rotational play yet. In the old save, I've had so many other things happen that I suspect is from rotation (ex pimples and crushes don't go away if the teen ages up while rotating; a happy couple shows up at the romance festival and proceeds to argue and fight until they hate each other, etc.) that I expect these two will have trouble when I do start to jump families. We're supposed to be able to rotate families without problems. I prefer rotational play. I probably will abandon the old save. I won't use the test as I like the few mods I use. I'll probably switch to sims 2 style rotating and see if that helps anything. Based on theses comments I'm not optimistic. The other thing is, on the test save when I do stumble into situations reported here, like the wandering bar tenders, I immediately save and send the save link to the moderators (or whatever they're called). Anyone who doesn't use mods or cc should do that too.
I dont have this bug, just curious for those who have it, did you play on a tiny home lot? Because relationship can be either positively or negatively impact very fast. Just asking. It could be the problem.
I don’t use mods or cc. I notice relationship changes after sims romance goes down and it changes them to acquaintances, despite them being best friends. Just thought I would share my pic, hoping it helps.
This is happening to me since the last update, Relationship bar drops daily for no reason.
I'm having a problem at the moment coming on to see if anyone has had the same problem or if I could recieve help. Recently in the last week, I've been playing sims and the relationship will not show up, my sims have been on dates an the relationship wont start the pink part isn't showing up at all and my married sims relationship was very satisfied but their relationship was a way down like almost completely gone. The friendship one is up but again most of the time won't go to the top. I do have mods but I've deleted them, cleared my cache and did everything to try and fix it but I went back into sims and it wasn't fixed does anybody know what to do?
So do we take it that this does not include a fix for how romantic satisfaction decays in unplayed households? Rotational play is impossible right now.

No, unfortunately it seems that they don't plan to fix this 😢
But yeah, romantic satisfaction decay as it is now (and has been since release) is completely incompatible with rotational gameplay. Ideally they'd give us a way to freeze it for certain sims/couples or disable the decay altogether. But I haven't heard any acknowledgement of this issue at all 😔

Relationship decay after having a baby was too fast and was destroying relationships. It has been slowed.
Fixed in Patch 1.119.109/2.23
