I have to say, I actually like this bug. I get annoyed having to click it away when switching between sims.
It would be better if it stays open after you open it and stays closed after you close it, no matter what sims you are on. The old that kept opening was irritating and the new that keeps closing is irritating. So one that just do what you tell it to do would be better.

I hope that when they fix it they will leave an option for those of us who want holidays to minimize by default.
Same thing for scenarios. Especially the very basic ones where there is only one goal ever that takes a long time to work toward. I don't need to be reminded every time I switch sims that Making Money is about making money.
There is a checkbox "Hide Scenario UI" in game options that I've always wondered about- I've tried checking and unchecking it with no obvious results. Is this supposed to affect whether holiday and scenario UIs stay open or not?
