Same problem here. My Sim already died from overheating (her mother intervened and saved her from the Grim Reaper), but even after dying from that and coming back to life, the debuff didn't go away. I managed to overcome it by drinking a lot of water and keeping her in the pool. And guess what? Now she's freezing to death!
Both incidents started in Ravenwood after having to interact with ghosts while searching for the tarot cards.
With the freezing, I don't know what else to try. Even cheats aren't working. I had to install UI Cheats just to get rid of the moodlet until I figured out exactly what was happening. I honestly thought it was some aspect of the gameplay I wasn't aware of, something like a ghost curse or something similar. But I'm losing this game for the second time, and it's not fun anymore. Only now, reading this forum, do I realize it's another bug in the game.
