[S] Stuck on Select Season for several unrelated interaction (1.113.288/2.09)

I know this is an old post, but I have a question. After the game goes back to normal, can we put Discovery Quests and Guidance system back on?

I am having the same issues, no mods, never had any. Help!!

How do you play your old game??

I just had this happen to me - when clicking "Manage Worlds" from my active household it takes me to the select a season screen, which is odd as I am midway through Autumn currently. I exited to the main menu and loaded my game again, clicked "Manage Worlds" and it again took me to the select a season screen. I was unable to cancel this screen as that option was greyed out. I exited the game without saving. I then reopened the game, loaded the same active household, clicked "Manage Worlds", and still was directed to the select a season screen. I do have the Trashley discovery quest going, I see someone mentioned that in the linked thread.

Edit: I tried to buy a small business lot to progress the Trashley discovery quest and was also met with the select a season screen. Once again there was no way to cancel this screen so I exited to the main menu without saving. I loaded my active household again tried "Manage Worlds" again, still got the select a season screen, so I exited to the main menu again without saving, loaded the active household again and deleted/cancelled the Trashley discovery quest. Then I clicked "Manage Worlds" and the game still is taking me to the select a season screen. I deleted every discovery quest I have and it still took me to the select a season screen.

I will note I am running a small business from my home lot in Henford-on-Bagley and Trashley visited me, which I how I got the Trashley discovery quest. I have never seen Trashley outside of Nordhaven before this, but just thought it was something I hadn't noticed before. I wanted to note that in case that helps you solve this bug.

I followed the advice to reset discovery quests, reset guidance system, I even disabled the discovery quests and guidance system, loaded into a different save, went back to the main menu, then back into my active household save and now when I load in my active household it asks me to select a season and it loaded the game back to the mid-Autumn day I was on. The discovery quests had reappeared. I again disabled them entirely. Saved the game, loaded another game, saved that game, loaded into my active household, now the discovery quests are gone. I clicked "Manage Worlds" and now it finally takes me to actually manage worlds. 

Every time I try to travel or go on vacation with my Sims, the option to choose a season pops up. This makes it imposible to travel. When you try to choose a season, the game doesn't react to it and you're stuck on the choose a season menu. This is very frusterating and makes it very difficult to play.

When leaving any lot I get the prompt “pick a season to start with” sometimes it lets me pick a season and move on (but doesn’t affect the games ACTUAL season) but other times I get stuck in a loop and end up having to exit the game. 

For some reason when my Sim tries to go to another location I am asked what season to play in. Then I select and it will not accept my selection and move on. I am stuck on the screen with the seasons question.

Selecting "buy a small business lot" just brings me to the "select a season" page even though I'm already in game play. Selecting a season and hitting the checkmark just causes the page to refresh. I can only get out by exiting the game. This is on PC.
