[S] Stuck on Select Season for several unrelated interaction (1.113.288/2.09)

This is very much also a problem in my game. My sim was trying to buy a small business and got stuck on choosing a season. No mods and no cc. I hate how this game is becoming more and more unplayable with each pack/update :( 

Thank you to KahakotheFae for the workaround. It seems to have fixed it. For now. 

I am having the same issue. I try to go on vacation and the change of seasons goes on loop and the only thing I can do is restart my game. Change seasons also pops up every time I travel to a new world as if I had started a new game.

when I travel between towns, any time I do this a season choosing screen appears. and it doesn't matter what i choose - it stays the same, so I reckon it's a visual bug (appeared after updating the game to the latest version and installing hobbies and business expansion pack)

This solution helped me, as well.  My game was stuck in a loop on the season select screen and I thought I'd have to delete my save.  Thank you!

I'm also having this issue with and without mods. repairing did not help and sometimes it gets stuck on the select season page no matter what i click.

"EDIT: Resetting Discovery Quests, Resetting Guidance system, and loading into a different save then back into a save where the issue was occurring WHILE DISCOVERY QUESTS ARE OFF fixed this for me. "

This issue just began happening with me while playing on PC.  When selecting the Purchase a Small Business Lot option, the Choose a Season menu opens and, as others have reported, when making a selection and clicking the confirm button, it just stays on the screen.

Solution (or Band-Aid):  As per user KahakotheFae, the following appears to have resolved the issue.

* Reset Discovery Quests
* Reset Guidance system 
* Save and exit to menu
* Load a different save
* (I don't know if this is necessary, but I repeated the first three steps)
* Load the save where the issue was occurring
* (When loading the original save, I was prompted to select a season.  This may, in part, explain the bug.  Is some of the information being saved in a shared folder instead of with each save?)

I've been playing this save for almost 30 hours.  As an aside, yesterday, I was asked (inconsistently) to choose a season when traveling to a different world.

This is the first time I've experienced either issue.  Normally, I'm only asked to choose a season once when starting a new game.

Edit:  After reading the linked thread, I'd like to note that Trashley visited me before this happened to give me the "add a second business" discovery quest.  I had discovery quests turned off, as I was constantly spammed with the same quests (e.g., telephone, going out).  Talking to him also caused discoveries to be automatically turned back on (without permission).

Unrelated to the seasons issue, I just want to vent for a moment about how buggy my experience has been with small businesses.  It's really buggy!  My active sim and NPCs often do nothing.  Love the concept, but not that it's buggy.

When I try and go on vacation, and less frequently when I travel, I get the screen to choose a season. It keeps popping up after selection and never goes away. Therefore I’m never able to travel or go on vacation.

PC. All packs. No mods/cc. I’ve tried restarting the game, etc. No improvement.

It sounds like you're experiencing a bug where the game repeatedly asks you to select a season when traveling with your Sim. Here are  a few things you can try to fix it:

1. Clear Cache: Delete the game cache files and restart your game. This can sometimes resolve persistent issues.
2. Check for Updates: Make sure your game and mods (if any) are up to date. EA might have already released a patch for this bug.
3. Remove Mods/CC: If you use mods or custom content, try playing without them to see if the issue persists.
4. Repair Game: In EA App/Origin, right-click on the game and select Repair to fix any corrupted files.
5. Report the Bug: If the problem continues, report it on EA’s official forums so the developers can investigate further.
