When I download Sims from the gallery that have the glossy skin effect, they will look like this when I view the household image, no matter if I remove the gloss or keep it.
Restarting the game / resetting the Sim in live mode / saving the household to my library and placing it back does not fix this issue, and I end up having to recreate the Sim from scratch. This has happened on two occasions now.
