My sims either won't follow a command (just stand there) or they "do" it without actually moving. For example, they will go to sleep without getting into bed. I've linked to a video to better explain. As you can see from the video this is without mods/cc installed. I play on an M1(2020) Mac.

I'm having the same issue! Sims do not move but UI shows them sleeping sitting etc... Nothing worked. I tried with no cc mods. I dont want to disable any of my packs.
Traced it down to the game freezing for a few minutes each time the game possibly creates another pointless unneeded townie , Playing for a sim week i counted approx 50 odd freezes and when i checked i found the game had created a further 68 townies . This despite i have an absolute load of them already in game 90% of whom i never see more than once or twice .
I had this issue since October 2rd, worst part was I try the 50/50, deleting cache, uninstilling and reinstilling the game, now it seems like the game is too far gone to fix.
I was trying to complete the event and got to "Have child sim sleep or nap". I had disabled mods+CC and started a new save when playing the event. I got to that step and clicked on the bed, the UI claims they are sleeping, their energy is going up but the sim with stand idle wherever they were when I queued the action and it also doesn't check off as completed. I had tried this with my original household, a townie household in the original save and have now made a new save and tried it with the household I have but it still does the same thing.
Sims are walking over to whatever task I’ve given them and will simply stand there. In game time will be running like normal and their needs keep decreasing but they won’t do anything.
This is my second time trying to post this but idk why the website is giving me such a hard time.
YorksRob Please test in a new save, in a new Sims 4 user folder, using a default EA-made lot, with fresh sims (nothing from the Gallery or your own library on either count). Let me know what happens.
My game runs fine until i get to where my sims need to sit down , then it freezes for a few minutes regularly until they suddenly sit , This is constant if i take my sims to somewhere like a restaurant where other sims are often sitting down , They go to sit , stand by seat and the whole game freezes a few minutes , then suddenly sit , moments later it again freezes as other sims go to sit
All exp packs , game packs and stuff packs , a very few kit pack , Updated to the latest update , Only CC clothes and hair . Still the same if i remove them and try a vanilla save
Been like this now for a while and no i have no intention of removing some packs and playing without content i have paid for as has been suggested to some
not sure if we are talking about the same thing when it comes to game freezing but since adding in the new expansion pack, all Sims keep getting stuck doing nothing, it's like the game is stuck and they take a while to unfreeze. Never had this issue before, it seems particularly bad during getaways
I'm having the same issue after the newest update. I tried almost everything to fix it but it doesn't work. I took my mods and cc out but the issue is still there did anyone find solution for this?
