My sims either won't follow a command (just stand there) or they "do" it without actually moving. For example, they will go to sleep without getting into bed. I've linked to a video to better explain. As you can see from the video this is without mods/cc installed. I play on an M1(2020) Mac.

I'm kinda glad this glitch is reserved to a single pack, but I really hope there's a fix made soon. I bought Get Together for the building items, so I guess I gotta play without those for now. I'll test playing without Get Together tomorrow and see if there's any improvement.
I am experiencing the same issue. Tried to debug sim but they still won’t move.
For the C drive it tends to fill up pretty quickly due to it only being 118GB in total!! I can't afford to upgrade to a laptop with a bigger hard drive sadly.
I'll do the graphics driver thing and report back.
Edit: So I tried that and removing some packs suggested in the bug thread and neither worked. I'm still encountering the issue. I'm also pretty sure its the same issue as the thread you posted after reading through it a bit.
for example i command my child sim to get yogurt from the fridge. the animations run smoothly till he sits down on the chair to eat. any amination involving his hands and sitting down will not start. therefore he wont eat, he wont draw on the creative table. he will just sit there waiting. he'll even do the waiting animations.
Since the update for the adventure awaits patch I have been unable to play my game.. whenever I get them to do anything, for example sleeping, it will show on the activity bar that they are “sleeping” however they’re just standing in the one spot and it doesn’t help their needs, I’ve tried multiple different things to make them do and all actions do this.
I have: removed all mods and cc, uninstalled the game and reinstalled, repaired multiple times, cleared the EA App cache, moved the Sims 4 folder to desktop to create a fresh folder without putting anything back in, I have searched everywhere for any fix and tried them all and nothing is working, I haven’t been able to play at all since the update.. it’s frustrating.
The only other thing I’ve found is that this is an EA bug, if anyone has any other ideas I’m willing to try.
Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox)
The same thing had just happened to me, and I have zero mods in my game. I was just playing the new pack, Adventure Awaits, and every sim had just stopped moving. I reset my sim and even the NPC sims, but they still just stand there frozen.
Is there going to be a fix to this soon? I really want to play Adventure Awaits and I can't :(

My Sims either only partially execute commands or do not execute them at all. When I want to send them to bed, the Sim remains where they are but sleeps. If the Sim wants to use the toilet, they do so where they are. So the Sims do not move to execute commands, unless the command is to move, in which case they do move.
