Ideas
I tried two completely different save files and had the same problem in both. I have not tried different households in the same save. I'm not sure how to open an older copy of the same save -- I'm not in the habit of backing up saved games.
Was just wondering if it's the same family.
Could you test another household in the save (and backups are your friend :D)
