No matter what I do, painting, bathing the babies, simply bringing them over to bathe, picking them up, walking inside a house, they cancel it or complain that they can’t walk there when they absolutely can. I have to manually click on different areas of the floor and make them walk into a house or go up the stairs or else they complain that they can’t get there.

hi my sims wont follow any command at all i need help i dont know what to do
I do not use mods and do not have new cc (what I have has been successfully played in the past without issue.) If you click on anything (piano, plate of food, harvest plants, shower, etc.), it almost immediately drops out of the sims' queue. They just stand and swing their arms and don't respond. Nothing works -- I have repaired the game, traveled to other lots both in the current world and other worlds (they will not respond in any of those other lots, either), reset/debugged the sim both by using shift+click and by using the ResetSim command. It's aggravating to have purchased a game you can't play.
