This issue has been a thing since launch days. Comedy performances, Singing performances (CL including karaoke performances and podium speeches), lounge event speeches (get famous)
Trailers show sims sitting down and EA builds create stages surrounded by seating, showing it is intended for sims to sit while watch these spectacles. But they just don't and instead walk towards the object (microphone, karaoke station, podium) and cluster around it standing. It really breaks immersion and even with small businesses, the live entertainment rule feels so pointless if sims don't sit down and just avoid any seating.
This is with the Sit for Performances mod by Waffle on Patreon Sims sitting down are watching the dude singing, which creates such a lovely atmosphere when the furniture is being actually occupied by sims!This is without any mods. Sims just cluster around the performance object and ruin the vibe :/as you can see the trailer for city living shows sims sitting down for performances but, on the same planet honey pop lot, the same/similar arrangement does not work like that and sims walk ONTO the stage platform :/
