I updated my game today 3/17/2026, and within a second said "something went wrong try again later". I exited out of everything and restarted my computer. Once everything loaded up I got clicked on SIMS4 and it didn't have an update. When I went into the main menu it has updated. I have Moola now. I entered the game. My Sim is standing in the kitchen getting hit on by her room mate. I stop those interactions and try to get my Sim to change her outfit. She will not do it. She is moving her hands head and stuff but she is frozen in place and will not take a step. No other Sims will move or follow commands either. I exited the game and went to google for information. From there, I tried repairing the game, to no avail. I left it alone for a few hours (had to go back to work) and when I tried again the same thing is happening. My Sim can carry out being serenaded by the roommate but after that first predetermined interaction they are all frozen. The infant is stuck on the floor in a tummy time that will never end even if I try to stop the action. I have also reset objects and they are still frozen.

Thank you so much for responding even if there are similar threads! I have been having a time. So it is just the Sims that are frozen time is moving as normal. It was happening with my Sims household so I went to a prefab family and they were working fine. I then jumped back to my household and they have unfrozen and are in different locations than previously. For good measure I started a new save too just to see and it was fine. I'm going to say just jumping out of that family into a new one fixed it. Once again thank you so much for responding, I wouldn't have thought of any of this.
