My sims will not sleep in the same bed.
Nothing is blocking the bed, I have assigned sides, they are married/dating.
One will be sleeping in the bed and I will try to put the other one to sleep ...

best way to circumnavigate this, in most instances, is wait for 1 sim to get into bed first before telling the other sim to get into the bed. this makes them go and do the cuddle interaction instead of getting up immediately.
the issue seems to occur when both sims are made to go to bed at the same time, the one who gets in bed first will stay in bed and the other will get up immediately.
i tested this in a game with a fresh save and no mods with a married couple and each time i did the following steps of sending them to bed at the same time whichever got there last got up immediately
