So when I'm playing the sims, my game will be fine and normal, but then out of no where, everything just stops letting me click on things or stop my sims activity, i cannot even reset the sim, however the background stuff is still working and i can more around, i can go into build mode, i can touch all the ui buttons, but everything else just stops. Can i get some help?
Yes i use mods and cc, however this wasn't an issue with my recent stuff since as i took out the newer cc just in case but that didn't fix it. It started happening since i updated and added Businesses and Hobby expansion to my game.
Did you just take out the newer stuff or everything ? Mods/cc get outdated with patches and you need to test without ANY.
If you only removed the new stuff, please test your issue on a vanilla game
To verify on a vanilla game, move your mods folder to the desktop and delete the following files from your user folder.
- localthumbcache
- Any lastException Files
- Any LastCrash files.Test a backup of your save as you will loose all cc on the save and see if the same error occurs, then report back.
I feel like this might be businesses and hobbies. I removed that and Life & Death and havent had the issue so far.
Update: Nevermind, after playing for an hour the issue indeed persists. It is mostly triggered by certain item usage or placing certain items in build mode. I hope this gets fixed soon, it is entirely frustrating.
