Same here. It's actually gotten worse since the 9/22 update. Practically everything my sims do is very delayed. I queue things up for them to do and they just stand there for a long time without doing anything. I am constantly now pausing the game to allow the game to "catch up" so I do not lose too much "in game" time. Takes forever to play a single day and it's beyond frustrating. This has been going on for a while now.
