Sims keep stopping/cancelling out their actions to do other things

Same for me! I thought initially it was happening only when I opened build mode (even if I didn’t change anything or do anything that interferes with their current happenings) but it’s happening even when I’m actually playing as the sim too. I also used to be able to switch between the sims and give them all queues but now they pretty much disappear as soon as I move to the next sim.
