Sims keep stopping/cancelling out their actions to do other things

I have had this happen in a slightly different capacity...instead of the action queue dropping the action it seems it just "freezes" the game, which results in either the save system not allowing me to finish saving and prevents all interactions during the game (no pie menu after the freeze), I had to End Sims 4's Task with Task Manager to get it to close/restart. This first occured shortly after the Horse Ranch Expansion was released, and more recently happened today during the update for Fairies during gameplay.
