I can't find a tread about this, so here I go
My sim is constantly picking up their infants from their playing mat. The infant is laying in an infant playmat, and my sim cancels what they are doing, picks up said infant and then places the infant in front of the playmat. I use MCCC, so I tested without mods. Same issue.
I also have issues with 'blocked paths'. The same infant in the above example, my sim want to put the infant in the bath - not possible, because my sim suddenly cannot pick up their infant anymore. The infant also can't do anything, and is just sitting there doing nothing, so this (with infants) isn't really playable for me right now. Also in this case, tested with and without mods. Same issue. It is also the same savefile as the issue mentioned above.
There is a thread for this. They're on top of it so hopefully a fix comes out before too long. The problem you are describing is generally caused by more than one sim queuing up to care for the baby and it makes them all freeze up and things to go whack. Not sure what your situation is but hopefully it fits.
