Sims not selectable/grayed out after changing outfit on rental lot

Game BREAKING bug that has been an issue for over 6 years crinrict please do not lock my thread because for the past 6 years I have been unable to take my sims on vacation and change their outfits in a dresser without them becoming unselectable. I should not have to go to the main menu after using an item that was intended for changing outfits. This is a serious issue and needs to be addressed. It has been 6 years and this is a game breaking bug TheSimsDirect Sim Gurus the help team anyone please help I have spent thousands on this game and I just want to take my sims on vacation and change the outfits of their friends without EVERYONE becoming unselectable at a a rental lot.

This is NOT  a solution and should not be marked as solved this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. 

Please do not lock this thread—this is a serious, long-standing issue that has never been fixed, and it deserves proper attention.

For over 6 years, I’ve been dealing with a bug where Sims become unselectable (grayed out) after using a dresser or mirror on a rental/vacation lot. The only workaround is exiting to the main menu and reloading the save, which completely breaks immersion and makes vacation gameplay unusable.

I’ve spent thousands on this game. It’s unacceptable that such a core mechanic is still broken. The linked thread (11477425) is wrongly marked as solved—a workaround is not a solution.

Please:
Unmark this as solved
Stop locking threads discussing it
Escalate it to QA and devs for real action

This has gone ignored for far too long. We deserve better.
