Sims opening and shutting their umbrella while standing and conversing

are they not protected at all when they do this ? Aka they die as fast as there was no umbrella when doing this ?

no they don't die right away, but since they are burning because the umbrella is not up (even though the weather is cloudy) if I'm not careful and have them leave before the energy bar goes to low, they will die. 

But the main issue is that they close and open, close and open the umbrella for every interaction with others sims. Even worse if the decide to sit down and get up etc. So majority of the time the umbrella is not up to protect them.

hm, I would say they die as fast as without, as the majority of the time she has the umbrella out it is not over her but you know "picking up" animation and then a second over her head, and then "closing it"/ doing the movement for the umbrella going down. 

If she dies slower it is marginally, it seems to be just as fast. Just more annoying with the umbrella animation. I don't even remember if the burning moodlet have time to be removed before it is there again with how fast she is getting the umbrella up and down, up and down.
