Here is another thread that I made about a week ago when this bug first occurred for me.
This form seems to be okay to report the newest bug on but I see it is 4 months old.
This issue that most players/commenters are recently reporting started just about a week ago with the newest update of 1.116.202.1030.
I do not believe what the original poster on this forum was posting about is directly related to this new issue though both seem to be setting custom painted attributes to null.
