I am having an issue in my game where my sims will autonomously try to weed weeded plants on my lot but they stop whatever action they're doing and do not travel to the plant, they just kneel down wherever they are already standing. For example, this is my sim at simlabs from get to work, he stopped experimenting and started picking weeds.
This started happening about a week ago for me.

I noticed this in my game too! I didn't think to screen capture it, but yes, just as you described. My sim dropped to kneel where she was on the verandah and plucked weeds from a plant that was in a planter (base game planter pot) instead of walking down the front steps and over to the tree, that was approx 6 tiles away.
I only saw it the once, but it happened in the save I was playing over the weekend.

I only saw it the once, so I will assume it was just a temporary glitch - animation timing lag or something.
