I feel like a modding solution might be possible just by overriding these stairs with ones that have the top rail slightly thinner to fit inside the wall, I don't think it would be a large visible difference, but stair rails are out of my wheelhouse because they don't work with some of my modding tools. Still wouldn't help with appearing in windows
