Story Mode not retained if Sim isn't played right after creating

I went into CAS using the 'Create a new household to move in' option and made two sims using the 'add sim via a story' for both. I completed CAS and moved them in, then went to build mode from the world map. Then I played as household and neither sim has the skills or career from the story. I then went back to CAS and got the same sims from my gallery and they still don't have the skills and careers from the story.

I play on Xbox, I don't have mods duh.

I'm really frustrated about this because I wasted all of this time answering the story questions to get the skill outcomes I wanted and then customized the sims all for nothing since I cant make a custom to story to get those results back nor can I make new sims with the story and then replace their appearance with the sims I made. And if going into build mode first did this, which I don't understand how it would've, then that needs to be changed or told to people as it is counter intuitive to have to go to live mode and then enter build mode to customize the households home.

  • Hi TunaFishSamich

there was a similar report in the old forum. Since you did move them in it does sounds a bit different though but maybe the going to build mode from the map messed it up.

I also tested this in my game and I can't duplicate it happening if you move the Sim in first as this load the Sim in live mode. Ì tried both a new game and the Create a new household on an existing save. Was everything there before going to build mode ?

Do you have any issues if not going to build mode ?

The part about the gallery is by design though.
