Im not like, SUPER mad about it but my sim just went from scientist level 2 to 7 in a single shift. It helped cause I was low on funds, but it does feel so much like cheating.

This is happening with me too - and it's a problem because I'm doing a challenge where I need to work my way to the top of every career (and it's supposed to be hard). But I had a sim at level 5 of her career, she took a paid vacation day, and at the end of the day she got a promotion, and was instantly at level 10. This happened with 2 other sims - they all jumped from their previous level up to level 10. And every single day they get a raise now, whether they go to work or not.
On the other hand, one of my sims got a new job and was stuck at level 1 for a few days (it didn't even have promotion requirements listed). But once he finally got promoted, he jumped up to like level 4 or something - I thought his progress stopped because he didn't have high enough logic to be promoted past that point. But judging from other comments, maybe that's not the case after all. - Katie90Crum21 days agoSeasoned Novice
One sim in art went from level 3 to 5 in a day, a scientist level 3 to 8 also in a day. They're now stuck at that level never reaching 10

Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- What platform are you playing ? - Katie90Crum20 days agoSeasoned Novice
No mods/cc and on PC.
Happened after the July 1st update

I've had this happen twice as well - once a few days ago, and then the other just now (19 July). Both times the sim was about level 6 or 7 and got promoted to the top of the career. This sim definitely didn't meet all the requirements for higher promotions (had just achieved logic level 6 to be eligible for the next promotion). Last time I played this sim I think he'd just been promoted, due to where the performance indicator was, so I hadn't thought it would be possible for him to be promoted in one day of work.
Playing on PC with no mods or cc.

Yes this!!!
Also it interrupts the successful family lineage aspiration. One of the last goals is to have a child or grandchild reach top of their career and my wife's daughter is literally at level nine with a plus 20 in promotions.

No, my sim absolutely did not have the correct skills to be promoted yet
Entrepreneurial - this trait did that in my case. When I removed it with the code, my sim stop jumping. Code: traits.remove_trait Entrepreneurial

I updated my game today to the latest version and got the same issue. My sim was mixologist level 6. He goes one time to work and when he was back, he was promoted directly to level 10 (even if the job progression bar was not completed).
I never used mods or cc. - 5otuc6dl8g6p18 days agoRising Spectator
Replying to my own comment to say that I did the culinary career in the mixology branch and this jump did not happen . I had to do this to complete the aspirations and I didn’t experience any level jumps . Started at 1 and progressed as normal through level 8 .
