I have been creating a new vampire sim using the tattoo function from Businesses & Hobbies. I have created a tattoo that I only want the sim to wear in his dark form, and it allows me to do this in CAS, but as soon as I go to live mode, it has either disappeared, or shows in both the dark form and the normal form!

I posted about this bug around 10min ago and I‘m so glad that you bring it up as well. This issue also applies to other occults with 2 forms.

Are vamps the only occult that have this issue ?

Hi again, I deleted my post that I accidentally posted in the technical issues part of the forum to avoid confusion.
Here is what I observed regarding this bug:
The new (drawing) tattoo system introduced with business and hobbies seems to be very bugged when it comes to occult sim. For example, if the human form of an alien is tattooed and the sim is saved, the tattoo will be gone when the sim is taken from the gallery or moved to a lot (despite showing in the gallery picture). It works if the alien form is tattooed but then the human form is also automatically tattooed. For vampires it similar: if the dark form is tattooed this will not save permanently/correctly and will vanish - so this is again tied to the base form. (I also use no CC, and one alien sim got corrupted in such a way that even the body hair had to be selected for each outfit category separately in human form. When I removed the alien occult completely the sim would be a human sim but alway revert back to its alien appearance when moving to a lot). I experienced a similar situation with mermaids and maybe this applies also to other occults with 2 forms.
In short: it seems that the system might need some more fine tuning with occult sims.
This also happens with mermaids and aliens! After a werewolf has transformed the tattoo is still there. I also realised that after saving my character to my gallery, and replacing it into CAS again, the tattoo is no longer there!
Hopefully this gets fixed soon. Playing mostly with occults makes me lose one of the biggest features. Very sad.
I’ve been trying to use the tattoo paint mode to add some additional aspects to a sims mer form, but whenever I try to do so my game either crashes when exiting cas, or it doesn’t actually register. Has anyone else experienced this issue?? It does only seems to happen if the two forms are unlinked- I can tattoo other sims perfectly fine.
I wonder if this is the same issue as occults losing features in live mode, that has been around since Life and Death? I made a vampire (with a custom tattoo, vampire features and eyes) and then put them in live mode and they lost all of the vampire features and the custom tattoo. It has been an issue for months now and has still not been fixed. I worry this will be swept over as well as it is potentially the same issue, which means mermaids, werewolves, aliens and vampires cannot have custom tattoos or occult features. It sucks.
I am also having the same issue but it is with all occult. It seems that the custom tattoos only work with Human sims. I mainly play with occult thus it is annoying me that the tattoos wont appear for any of them.
