Affected Expansions/Packs: Business & Hobbies, Island Living, Vampires, Enchanted By Nature, Go to Work.
Description: This issue involves the incorrect behavior of the tattoo paint layer for the secondary forms of occult Sims.
I frequently play occult Sims and love using the Tattoo Paint Mode for customization. We can create completely different looks for the two forms of Aliens, Mermaids, Vampires, and Fairies by unlinking them. Technically, the Tattoo Paint Mode is accessible independently for both forms. However, if you save such Sims to the Library, their appearance changes upon loading.
If the tattoo paint is applied only to the hidden/secondary form (and not the main form), the paint completely disappears after loading from the Library.
Conversely, if the tattoo paint is applied only to the main form, the hidden/secondary form will incorrectly inherit the exact same paint upon loading.
The preview frames in the Library show both forms with their correct paint. However, during loading, the second form somehow inherits the paint layer (or lack thereof) from the first. It is impossible to keep the paint different for the two forms. The same issue occurs when placing the Sim into the world.
Note: This does not affect regular tattoos or face paint, makeup, skin details, etc. These features work as expected. It only affects elements applied via the tattoo paint mode. This affects all dual-form occults (Aliens, Mermaids, Vampires, and Fairies), except for Werewolves (whose wolf form uses its own paint system, not the B&H tattoo paint) and Spellcasters (who do not have a secondary form).
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create any of the listed occult types in CAS.
- Unlink the two forms by breaking the chain if needed.
- Enter the tattoo paint mode and create a unique paint design for only one of the forms.
- Save the Sim to the Library, then load them back into CAS or place them into the world.
- If the paint was on the main form, it will incorrectly appear on the occult form. If the paint was only on the occult form, it will disappear.
Expected Behavior: The tattoo paint mode should function independently for both forms of an occult Sim. All customization should persist correctly after saving, loading, or exiting CAS without the layers bleeding over or disappearing.
