There is currently an issue in MCCC that is causing a freezing like this if you have auto-marriages turned on.
If you encounter this is with ANY mods in your game, then this is not your thread. ...

I've also been having this issue and have spoken to other players who are experiencing this too. I've reset the sims in my household, moved lots, reset the sims, performed a game fix etc and it still does it. happens to mine between 4 to 6am and the only fix is to save my game but that takes forever and makes it almost unplayable.
