There is currently an issue in MCCC that is causing a freezing like this if you have auto-marriages turned on.
If you encounter this is with ANY mods in your game, then this is not your thread. ...

I just started having this issue. My last save is at around midnight and it will play without issue until around 4:04 in the morning when time completely stops. My sims still move but they’re stuck in whatever action they were doing and I can’t click on anything. Even though time says it isn’t passing if I leave it alone long enough the sun comes up. I can’t continue on in this save because it happens every single time I load in.
Have you tried completely moving out your mods folder and run your save after? This issue is most likely mod related.
This original report is not mod related but a lot of reports in here are. This is basically a symptom of something stalling/freezing the game.
Please keep this to saves that have the issue with NO mods. If you have mods, post in the mods forum instead.

crinrict: What seems to be the culprit? We had this issue at the same time the previous poster (4:04 AM) but then, thankfully, it sorted itself out after we updated lot51, but based on what you wrote, this bug seems to be non mod related and maybe we just got lucky.
Yeah, I completely removed all mods and it has happened every time since then. I even started a new save with no mods and it happened again (thankfully only the once, since then I can play the new save)
