Time/Sim freezes while environment still moves

Have you tried completely moving out your mods folder and run your save after? This issue is most likely mod related.

This original report is not mod related but a lot of reports in here are. This is basically a symptom of something stalling/freezing the game.

Please keep this to saves that have the issue with NO mods. If you have mods, post in the mods forum instead.

crinrict: What seems to be the culprit? We had this issue at the same time the previous poster (4:04 AM) but then, thankfully, it sorted itself out after we updated lot51, but based on what you wrote, this bug seems to be non mod related and maybe we just got lucky.

  It can be both. Something is blocking the game from going on and the time freezes. There can be many culprits for that. In Sims 3 this was also an issue. So it was probably an issue with an not updated mod for you while for others it's something else. I've tested a few saves with this error and could never really pinpoint what the cause was.
  
  Hopefully EA can figure it out for Non-mod users. Mod users need to check their mods.
  
  So anyone not having mods in their game (especially saves that never had any) should send them to EA.
