Time/Sim freezes while environment still moves

So after the update, my household glitches/freezes. Like everything moves in but in the same place. You can hear sounds from cars passing by and birds chirping but time doesn’t move past 2-3a. Can’t click or even save the game. At first I thought it was my mods, took them out & started the game & same issue. Recovered my saved household & still the same issue. I even uninstalled & reinstalled the game back. SAME ISSUE, so clearly this is an EA thing & not a mod thing. So disappointing, i stopped playing for months because the update from over the summer ruined everything. Had to start a new household all over again. I recently started playing again a little over a month ago & thought this time I can actually enjoy the game again. Apparently not.
