There is currently an issue in MCCC that is causing a freezing like this if you have auto-marriages turned on.

dr0pdeadappleb0y Do you ever play with the laptop running on battery only, or is it always plugged in? I ask because your laptop's Nvidia graphics driver is new enough to be fine, but the AMD driver is from 2022, and the laptop might try to switch to the AMD GPU to preserve battery life.
At any rate, it's a good idea to update the driver. You can use the newest one from AMD:
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart afterwards and before trying to play.
If you get more freezing in the new save, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Click Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at or around the time the game was freezing. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
puzzlezaddict Well, I got impatient and decided to do it now instead of tomorrow haha. So I installed the update file with no issues and restarted my computer. I opened sims and it froze just like before at 12:03 am in game. I forgot to mention earlier, but every time the freeze happens my computer fans get very loud, so with my limited IT knowledge I think that something might be going on with the game in the sense that it starts taking up more power/resources than usual.
The report in the Reliability Monitor I got was the same as for every freeze I encountered previously today. My computer is in Finnish, so rather than pasting the info I'll try translating it. It says something like "Version 1.121.342.1030 of TS4_x64.exe stopped working with Windows and was shut down". I manually shut it down via Task Manager, as I've had to do previously as well. I see no other reports from that time, or from the earlier times today that the game froze.
