Hello!
After the two most recent updates, I'm having a problem where, 2-3 (real-life) minutes into playing the game, (after entering the save, during the gameplay), the in-game time stops, my sims freeze, while the surroundings (like the TV or the Roomba) are still playing their animations. When this happens, I try to save the game, but it gets stuck on the "Saving" loading screen, and I have to force-quit the game. Does anyone else have this problem? It's gotten to the point in which I can't play for more than 1 minute, and have to force-quit the game. I've tried fixing the game, removing all CC (and updating it), deleting the cache file, to no avail.

Yes! Here!
I came to the forum precisely to see if it was my PC or if someone else was experiencing these kinds of errors. In my case, it started after the last update (May 22, 2026), and it feels like it's been getting worse as I progress.
In fact, I'm stuck at a certain point in the game and I've been trying to get past it for two days. I restart, load a previous save, and everything slows down or freezes again, almost at the exact same point (date and time). Sims are frozen, and the save screens are endless. I haven't checked if time is advancing or not, like I read is happening to you, but the TV animations and the spinning plumbobs continue normally.
I've already had to force restart three or four times. Right now, I'm repairing the game to see if that fixes it.

Hi,
Do you play with any mods? I'm trying to pinpoint the issue but it's hard. Ive taken out MCCC, UI Cheats and a bunch of Pandasama mods, so I wonder whether they could have caused this (even though they are up-to-date)

I use UI Cheats and twistedmexi's TOOL and BBB. I stopped using MCCC a while ago because it interferes too much with certain mechanics in the vanilla game that I play a lot.
I’m updating my status just to see if this helps you:
- I repaired the game
- I reinstalled the latest drivers for my graphics card (I have an NVIDIA) and discovered, to my surprise, that the NVIDIA app doesn’t always automatically optimize the game after updating the drivers. I optimized the game (always through the NVIDIA app), and not only did it stop freezing, but it even launched faster than before.
I hope that helps you!!
