I tried getting my Sim to feed my toddler sims and they just won't eat!

I'm getting real tired of these toddler bugs lemme tell you.
The last three times I've loaded up the game I have tried to feed this toddler. I have tried the highchair (everyone and their mother knows how that went). I have tried picking up a serving and leaving it for them. I have tried letting them grab their own servings.
With the serving plates, they pick up their serving, waddle ten steps away, then glitch out. The plate floats in the air beside them and they just stand there and do nothing.
No, there are no mods in my game. I have repaired the game, restarted the computer, quit and restarted the game, cleared my cache... nothing. Ever since this update the game has been nearly unplayable, and the toddlers even more so.
