I tried getting my Sim to feed my toddler sims and they just won't eat!

I was currently playing a premade household and the child sim wasn't actually eating when they got food, it had gotten to the point the bar was about to be red. I did a quick google on it and it seemed to be fixed when you go into cas for some reason and haven't experience since. But I did feel the need to report it
