I tried getting my Sim to feed my toddler sims and they just won't eat!

I'm having the same problem. The toddler sit in the high chair or on the sofa, but don't eat their food. I don't have mods installed, I started a brand new game and there weren't any left overs in the fridge. I play on PC and own most packs, minus some kits. The toddlers may eat when I first log in and start playing, but when it's time to feed them for the second time, the problem occurs.
