Recently I have been experiencing that my sims can't perform upgrades because it says they don't have the necessary items but they do have them available on their inventory and the game won't just recognize it. Same for brewing herbal remedies, it's just not working. I have delete mods, repair the game over an over again and nothing wont' fix it, overall it has been so bugged recently with so many features. Same when kids go to high school they won't stay in class or be able to study for exams, it's like the sim it's just bugged.
I'm experiencing similar issues. Parts in my inventory not being recognised and now can't purchase anything on a computer and can't purchase books via a bookshelf. Did you manage to resolve your issue?
Hey, I fixed it by going to one of the folders of the game and deleting the ones that said "last exception" which were like errors or malfunctions, but that happened because I had the Command center mod and that always causes bugs, and since I don't use it a lot I deleted it too. But I don't know if you have something like that.
