I have the Sims 4 for Playstation 4, it's the most recent update available for the system. I made a rental residential lot with 4 units in newcrest, saved the game, and closed it. The next day I tried to open back into newcrest and when I selected it from manage world I got a white screen and nothing loaded. I could still open the options menu and gallery. I waited 5 minutes, nothing changed.
So I exited to the main screen, re loaded the game, went into a household and tried to travel to newcrest, same thing happened.
I exited to main screen again loaded a different save, and was able to travel to newcrest on the save that did not have the rental.

This issue is caused by bugged residential rentals and often happens when you change the lot type back and forth.
You can find a tutorial in my blog on how to fix it: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2020/11/mod-related-white-screen-when-travelling-to-new-world/ but the S4Studio one is still very experimental. I had it work and not work depending on the save.Disabling for rent, then saving the game without it and then reinstall it is the best method although you will loose all content from the pack and it will reset the world. Some people also reported that doing this deleted the lot altogether (like there was no lot to build on anymore afterwards).
You do any fixes at your own risk so please make backups.
