Whole game stops

Every time I enter create a sim the game will just stop working I can use my left joystick and that’s it I can’t click the buttons to enter any clothes/ character customization mode and I can’t even save it to keep my progress and I have to close the whole game. During gameplays for sims families I’ve already created the same thing happens even if I’m not entering create a sim and I can’t move my characters and I can’t save the game either. Even if I were able to save the game it doesn’t keep any progress that I’ve made, i married my sims countless times and each time I save and leave the game it doesn’t keep my married sims married. I deleted the game downloaded it back and nothing changed and it’s stressing me out because I would just like to play my sims game without getting irritated about everything I’ve listed below.
