Even after the latest patch, which states that EA had fixed the bug, my game continues to soft lock whenever I try to load anything from the gallery. I have to completely restart the game and I am frustrated lol, I just want to be able to play the game. Is anyone else still having this ongoing issue?

Yes, mine is still doing the same thing. I can't load anything from people I follow or things I created myself. Every time I try, it freezes the game and I have to do the same thing of starting over.
