I’m going to be so honest, this is making me so mad. I’ve already claimed items for the event, but one day, I go to claim them so I can progress, and it gives me a message: “INTERNET CONNECTION IS REQUIRED Please go online to save your Event progress and receive awards.” I’ve checked my internet connection several times, and restarted the game several times over different days, and it still says this. This is extra ridiculous because the sims 4 is an online game, so I wouldn’t even be able to open the game if I was offline! I’m able to play the game like normal, it just won’t let me receive the event rewards.
I was also having this problem. It kept showing me that i was logged in, and had internet connection but kept getting the same msg when i tried to collect the rewards. On ps4 I fixed the issue by logging out of my ea account and just did a quick password reset while I was at it. Once I logged back into my account I was able to collect the rewards. Hope this helps.
